Created by industry professionals in consultation with key buyers from independent boutiques and department stores, and brands from global design houses as well as young start-up labels, SPACEshowroom.com has created a unique online resource for brands and buyers alike.
We listened to buyers who bemoan the travelling they do and the amount of fairs they're expected to visit each season, and we listened to the brands that lamented variable attendance at trade fairs globally which has resulted in higher mailing and printing costs to directly market their line sheets to stores.
We appreciate the feedback that brands want to get their collection in front of as many buyers as they can, quickly, and we know that buyers want to be as up-to-date as possible on new labels hitting the market.
Then we got building SPACEshowroom.com to allow brands to upload as much of their collection they want so buyers can then browse and search through at their leisure.
Not that we're proclaiming the death of trade fairs - far from it! There will always be the need to see a physical sample but with SPACEshowroom.com, brands are able to list the shows they'll be taking part in so buyers can research ahead of time which brands to seek out at which fairs best fit their store profile.
